Kay Bojesen designed this effective nutcracker in 1932 with the popular Social Democratic prime minister, Thorvald Stauning, as an easy recognizable model. Stauning was prime minister in Denmark from 1924-1926 and again from 1929 until his death in 1942.
The nutcracker is cut of solid beech and hasn’t been produced since the reign of Stauning.
Length 21 cm.
Good condition with minimal traces of use as small chips in the moustage.
